Retro Dopamine Studio Apartment — Gamer & Creative

The Story

A full studio apartment designed for a creative who games, makes music, and watches anime at 2am. The brief was to pack multiple lives into one room — without it feeling cramped or chaotic. The space is split into three distinct zones: a cozy lounge-cinema corner with a large wall-mounted TV and ambient LED backlighting, a high-performance desk setup with pegboard, Nanoleaf hex panels, and dual monitors, and a bedroom-music corner housing a keyboard, drum kit, and vinyl shelf. A vintage MCM bookshelf unit acts as the spine that divides and connects all three zones. Lighting was the real design challenge here. Warm amber tones anchor the lounge and bedroom while cyan and purple RGB accents electrify the work zone — the contrast between the two moods is intentional and cinematic. The Noguchi-style globe pendant ties both sides together without competing. Every object in this space tells you who lives here. That was the whole point.
